Boys Night Out



     "Yo LJ! What the hell are we going to do today?" "I don't know, why?" "Cause its now two o'clock on a Friday afternoon and we haven't even gotten outa bed yet! You think this is how I want to spend the week vacation I get from college?" I asked him. "I think we should go to the boards and try and pick up some lovely ladies!" "I second that! Now lets get ready!"
     We both got up and took showers (separately may I add.), then ate and by that time, it was four. I called Nick, knowing that he was single also. He told us that he'd meet us on 9th street. So, LJ & I got in my blue, 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 and tore out of the driveway towards Ocean City. We hit the boulevard at the exact time every single Pennsylvania person that was down for the weekend did. I don't think they liked the combined twelve inch lift on my truck. Most of the smaller vehicles (which was ninety nine percent of the cars and trucks heading into Ocean City) moved out of my way. It took us an hour to make it into OC; the trip usually takes thirty minutes.
     I parked my truck in the parking lot at 4th and the beach (since there's really no place to park a fourteen foot truck anywhere in Ocean City) and we got out and ran up to ninth street.
     "Yo cuz!" LJ yelled to Nick as he walked up the ramp onto the boards. "Whats up, LJ?" "Nothing much, just got here ourselves." "Traffic was terrible!" I added. "Wait! Where did you park your truck?" "Parking lot on fourth street." "Nice!" nick said. "Not really..." I paused. "He charged me $20 because I took up two spots!" "I take it back! That sucks!" We all laughed. "Well..." LJ started. "We didn't come here to stand and look good! We came here to look at those who look good!" "Two things..." I started. "One; LJ, if you need a ride home, there's always her or the bus!" The three of us laughed. "Two; lets make like birds and get the flock outa here!"
     We started walking down the boards (which may I add is north... It's very confusing), looking for a threesome of hott chicks to follow. There were lots of chickies, but none worth the time to follow.
     LJ started first. "Wow! She's..." "My ex girlfriend." Nick interrupted. "Damn! Why'd you break up." "I moved. To PA." Nick answered. "LJ. Lets not forget that its a threesome we're looking for. One for the each of us." "How bout a six-some!" There was a group of six girls walking to the right of us. "No. I know them. One word." LJ looked at me as to ask "and whats that?" "Sluts!" "Nice!" he added.
     After walking down and back, Nick and LJ both caught something out of the corner of their eyes. On the left, was a girl, about five foot eight, long blonde hair, and the body to go with it. In the middle was a five foot four cowgirl with long, brown hair and the black hat to go match. She also had a pair of black boots. The girl on the right was about five foot four and her black hair with natural blonde highlights was just past her shoulders.
     "I've got dibs on the one on the left!" they both said at the same time. As nick was saying "Jinx! You owe me a soda", LJ again said that he had dibs on the one on the left! "Damn you, Lennie!" Nick yelled at him. I beat Nick by taking cowgirl in the middle, so if he was going to get in on the action, he had to take the one on the right.
     "Well..." as LJ was so good at saying, "Now that we know who has dibs on who..." He walked towards the girls. Nick and I followed and caught up just as he stopped three of four feet from them just on the south side of ninth street. "Im LJ." he said, then I interrupted him. "I'm Justin." I said as I looked into the blue-green eyes that were before me. "And I'm Nick." Nick said. (It worked out perfectly... we were all across from the girls we had dibbed) "Well... I'm Ashleigh. This is Nicole and next to her is Becky." Or at least thats what I think she said... all I heard was "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, This is Nicole, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."
     "Hi..." was all I could muster up to say to the angel that stood before me. "Hey! I knew you weren't listening to Ashleigh..." She paused, then started again. "So, I'm Nicole. "Hi..." was all I could mumble again. She laughed. "Ok, Justin. Hi." Nick smacked the back of my head. "Ah!" I paused. "Gwen..." I paused again. "Lets go some where." She gave me a weird look. "I agree, Justin!" LJ said as he, Nick, Ashleigh, and Becky turned to me.
     We all walked down the boards, my hand in Nicole's, Nick's in Becky's, and LJ's in Ashleigh's. We all talked about the perfect date, to what we do when we're home alone.
     "What do you boys do wile up on these boards?" Becky asked. "Well..." Nick said. "We walk around, hang out, eat, walk some more, visit Justin's uncle that works at one of the amusement parks..." He was interrupted. "Really? Which one?" Ashleigh blurted. "That one." I said as I pointed to the right.
     We walked in and it was as crowded as I've ever seen it. "Nick, come with me. Y'all stay here. Nick and I are going to go find my uncle." Nick and I ran off to find my uncle. It wasn't long before he saw us. Well, he saw my cowboy hat!
     "Justin!" he yelled from the top of the steps. "Uncle Jeff!" "Hey, did you see the girl with the cowboy hat?" "Yea. She's my new best friend." He hit my shoulder. "Nice! But there is a girl that's wearing a cowboy hat." The girls and LJ walked up. "You mean her?" I said as Nicole wrapped her arms around me. "Yea. Her!" Nick, my uncle and I laughed. "Whats that about?" Nicole asked. "Nothing." I answered. "Uncle Jeff?" He gave me his classic 'ok' look. "It's a hot night. How about the log floom?" We all agreed.
     Nick and Becky went first, then LJ and Ash, then last was Nicole and me. When we got off, the four and my uncle were laughing at the face that Nicole made in the photo.
     "Shut up, y'all!" she yelled. I'm not big on things like that." "Don't worry, babe. Neither am I." I said to her. "Well..." my uncle started. "I've got to get back to quote, unquote, work. I'll catch you later, Justin." "Alright. Later." "See ya." everyone said as he walked away.
     "Your uncle is awesome!" LJ said. "He is." Nicole seconded. "It's all about the connections." I added. "So. Whats next?" nick asked? "Dinner!" LJ exclaimed. "I'm starving!" he added. "Yea. What is there up here to eat?" Ashleigh asked. "I know just the spot." Nick said. "Its the best on the boards." I told them all. So, we started out of the back of the amusement park.
     "Damn! It's really hot tonight!" I said. "Speaking of 'hot', I think that Lennie's hott!" Ashleigh boasted. "I think that Ashleigh is drop dead sexy!" LJ quickly came back. "Well," I said, "Nicole is the sexiest girl in the world!" There was a brief silence, then, this came. "Only in your eyes!" I hit Nick in the arm as hard as I could wile spinning to the right and not aiming.
     He swung as I turned my back to him. The punch landed on my wing bone and all was well. "Dude! It was only getting you back!" I yelled at him. "Well it hurt!" he said. Nicole turned to Becky. "Your man's not a man if he can't take a punch like that!" They both laughed as Nick punched me in the arm for, what he called, Nicole's 'smart mouth!' I shrugged and turned to him saying, "That's what your ass gets for being a GIRL!"
     "Well..." LJ said breaking into the argument. "I'm as hungry as..." He stopped. "As hungry as a man in a kilt!" "That doesn't even make sense, LJ!" I said to him. "It does to me! It means I'm really hungry! Lets Eat!"
     We walked into the Burger Construction Company and sat in the back. Nick, Becky and LJ on one side, and Ashleigh, Nicole, and I sat on the other side. A young girl, no older then sixteen or seventeen came up to take our order.
     "Hi. I'm Jenn. What can I get for y'all tonight?" She turned to LJ who was sitting on the end. "Why do you think we came to BURGER Construction Company?" She giggled. "You have a point, there." She looked around the table. "I guess..." "Yes. Hamburgers are good." Nick stated. "Six hamburgers, then." Jenn said as she walked away.
     "That was mean!" all three of the girls said to Nick, LJ and I. "I'm sorry?" Nick questioned. "Well..." I said. "It got the job done." We all laughed.
     "Where are you gals from. Cause I know that it's not New Jersey!" LJ asked. "We're from PA." Ash answered. "What part of PA?" I asked, being that I just outside Philly. Nicole turned to me. "Just north of Philly. Bensalem." "Nick and I go to school there." "Then how come I don't know you?" Becky asked Nick. "Justin and I have an apartment in Bensalem. We go to ITT Tech." Nick answered. "Oh! thats nice!" Ash turned to LJ. "You go there, too?" "No." he answered. "I live down here." He paused. "But I was supposed to move up there in the fall." "Nice!" Ashleigh added.

     When dinner was over, we all got up and headed for the boards. "Nicole. How much do you want to be with me?" "More then you'll ever know! Why?" "Then just come with me." Once on the boards, Nick and Becky and Lennie and Ashleigh walked north on the boards as Nicole and I went south towards my truck. We didn't say a word the whole way to fourth street.
     "So..." Nicole started as we walked into the parking lot. "Which car is yours?" "One, its not a 'car', two, its this one." I pointed to my truck. "Need help gettin in?" Her jaw dropped to the ground. "Thats yours? Its huge!" (and she pronounced it like it should be, no silent "h") "Yea. Thats mine. Ain't she perty?" "Yea." was all she could say. "Well, ready?" "Yea." was all she said again.
We got in my truck and I started it up. "It's still early." "What time is it?" she asked. "It's only nine. What do you want to do?" "Well..." She paused. "You know this area?" "Babe, I used to live here!" "Is there a hot-spot round here?" "Like?" I asked. "Honky-tonk?" "Better!" "What is it?" she asked. "You'll see." I said with a smirk.
     I drove south and west for about twenty or twenty-five minutes. "Where are we?" "Relax." I said to her as I pulled off the road. "Really! Where are you taking me?" "Just relax." I drove over the bumpy and twisty path. "Close your eyes." "Why?" she asked. "Just trust me." She shut her eyes and when I got to the perfect spot, I told her to open them.
     "Wow! This is beautiful!" "Isn't it?" "Yea. How did you find this?" she asked. "Lets just say that I've hiked around this lake six or seven times." We sat and talked for what seemed to be twenty or thirty minutes, but when we looked at the time, it was almost eleven. "Nicole?" "Yes?" "Will you go out with me?" "What?" "I asked you if..." She interrupted me. "I know what you asked, but, what did you ask?" "Just say yes." "Yes." I gave her a big hug and a kiss.
     We curled up on the hood of my truck. Within minutes, her and I were in the bed passionately making love. When we finally made it into the cab to leave, the sun was just creeping over the horizon.
